FlowModeler® and Visio® work hand-in-hand
Starting with Microsoft Visio®–which is almost universally accepted and used by business professionals and consultants–GEM added a full range of BPA functionality, including the ability to organize, manage and integrate Visio® diagrams. Since its inception, GEMWorX FlowModeler® product capabilities have been continuously improved and expanded, and now FlowModeler/Visio® process diagrams can be quickly transformed into Web-based enterprise process training and operations support applications.

Few BPA or BPM tools are Visio–friendly, and proprietary translation utilities–where they exist at all–have relatively low recovery rates. In contrast, FlowModeler® can organize existing Visio® diagrams, allowing users to activate FlowModeler's BPA and integration functions over time, as processes change and new iterations of the diagrams are created.
FlowModeler was perhaps the first Business Process Analysis tool expressly designed to support Business Process Analysis that is focused on human activity (versus Information Technology).
